Sourcetable
Sourcetable is a spreadsheet with an AI analyst inside it: connect Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn or TikTok ads, Shopify or a warehouse, then ask questions in plain English to write formulas, clean and reshape data, run Python and chart the result, with a free tier of 50 monthly credits and paid plans at $29 and $100 per user per month.

Overview
Sourcetable is a browser spreadsheet with an AI assistant that is meant to remove the two jobs analysts hate: hunting for the right formula and stitching data sources together by hand.
The assistant writes formulas, fixes broken ones, builds pivot tables, cleans and de-duplicates data, generates templates, writes Python when a formula will not do, and produces charts from a prompt.
Underneath it is a real spreadsheet - familiar grid, formulas, sorting, conditional formatting, data validation, imports and exports - so work can be moved in from Excel rather than rebuilt.
Output side is covered too: charts are generated from plain English, and the analysis layer supports summarisation and insight extraction rather than only cell-level edits.
The models behind it are selectable and openly named - OpenAI, Claude and Llama are all credited on the site - which matters if a team has a policy about which provider sees its data. The marketing relevance sits in the connector catalogue and one specific use case.
The site lists Marketing Campaigns and attribution as a first-class use case, and the connectors page names hundreds of sources including Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Google Search Console, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads, Amazon Ads, Pinterest Ads, Snapchat Ads, Shopify, Stripe, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Snowflake, BigQuery, Postgres, MySQL, ClickHouse, DuckDB and Supabase.
Teams also connect GA4 and live query databases directly for ad hoc questions instead of waiting on a data team.
That means blended reporting - spend from ad platforms, sessions and conversions from GA4, revenue from Shopify or Stripe - can be assembled and interrogated in one sheet, then turned into a chart or a written summary.
On the analysis side, the AI spreadsheet assistant covers AI research and Deep Research, smart formulas, pivots and visualisations, so a question like which channel produced the cheapest qualified trial last quarter can be asked in English rather than written as SQL. Pricing was readable on sourcetable.com/pricing on 24 September 2026 and is credits-based per user.
Regular is free with 50 credits a month, resetting monthly, and includes the AI spreadsheet assistant, AI analysis and summarisation, smart formulas, pivots, charts, magic-autofill, data generation and AI research, Excel template generation, data cleaning and transforms, plus unlimited access to data connectors.
Pro is $29 per user per month with 2,000 credits and adds Deep Research, premium AI models, the Python and data science toolkit, expanded chat memory and context, and a SQL editor and query builder.
Max is $100 per user per month with 6,000 credits, the highest model intelligence, advanced agent capabilities, maximum memory and context and unlimited AI messages subject to abuse guardrails.
Extra credits can be bought as one-time packs from $10 to $200 that do not expire - 2,500 Pro credits work out at $0.02 each and 3,333 Max credits at $0.015 - and education discounts are offered for university emails.
Two limits are worth pricing in before a team subscribes.
First, credits rather than seats are the real ceiling, so heavy iteration eats through 50 free or 2,000 Pro credits quickly and the one-time packs become part of the budget.
Second, this is a spreadsheet, not a governed BI layer: it does not replace scheduled dashboards, row-level permissions or a semantic layer, and Sourcetable itself positions the product around analysis inside a workbook.
Enterprise security is documented - SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA and PCI, private user keys, encryption at rest and escrow KMS - which is the part that makes pulling warehouse and payment data into a sheet acceptable to a security reviewer.
Use Cases
Blending ad platform spend with GA4 sessions and conversions to check channel-level ROAS
Pulling Shopify or Stripe revenue into the same sheet as acquisition cost to calculate payback per channel
Cleaning and de-duplicating exported campaign and CRM data without writing scripts
Running Python or SQL against a warehouse or a live database to answer an ad hoc question
Generating a chart from a written question for a weekly performance review
Who Is This For
Growth and marketing analysts who live in spreadsheets
Performance marketers reconciling ad platform and analytics numbers
Agencies reporting across several client analytics and ad accounts
Ecommerce teams joining store revenue to acquisition spend
Founders and small teams without a data engineer to build a warehouse report
Key Features
AI spreadsheet assistant
Ask for a formula, a fixed formula, a pivot table, cleaned data, a template or a chart in plain English and get it in the grid; AI analysis and summarisation extract insights rather than only editing cells.
Connectors to ads, analytics, warehouses and commerce
Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Search Console, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Amazon, Pinterest and Snapchat Ads, plus Shopify, Stripe, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Snowflake, BigQuery, Postgres, MySQL, ClickHouse, DuckDB and Supabase are among the named sources.
Python, SQL and data science toolkit on Pro
When a formula is the wrong tool, Pro adds a Python and data science toolkit plus a SQL editor and query builder, so scripts and live queries can be run against connected data without leaving the workbook.
Charts and visualisations from a prompt
Charting turns a question into a chart as well as a table, which is the fastest way to get from raw ad and analytics exports to something a campaign review can actually use.
Documented enterprise security
SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA and PCI compliance, private user keys, encryption at rest and escrow KMS are stated on the pricing page, which is what makes revenue and warehouse data in a spreadsheet defensible.

Pros & Cons
Pros
- Fully published, credits-based pricing with a genuine free tier: $0 with 50 monthly credits, $29 per user per month with 2,000 credits, $100 per user per month with 6,000 credits
- One-time credit packs from $10 to $200 that do not expire, priced at $0.02 per credit on Pro and $0.015 on Max, so spikes can be topped up without upgrading a whole team
- Connectors cover the marketing stack end to end - GA4, Google Ads, Search Console, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Amazon and Snapchat Ads, Shopify, Stripe, HubSpot and major warehouses
- Data connectors are included on the free tier, so a small team can validate the workflow before paying anything
- Marketing Campaigns and attribution is a documented first-class use case rather than an afterthought, and education discounts are offered for university emails
- SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA and PCI compliance with private user keys, encryption at rest and escrow KMS
Cons
- Credits, not seats or time, are the binding constraint: 50 free credits and 2,000 Pro credits disappear fast under iterative analysis, so the one-time packs become a recurring cost
- Per-user pricing multiplies: five analysts on Pro is $145 per month before any extra credits, and unlimited AI messages are available only on Max at $100 per user
- It is a spreadsheet, not a governed BI layer - scheduled stakeholder dashboards, row-level permissions and a semantic model still belong to a BI tool, so most teams run both
- Connector depth varies by source despite a catalogue of hundreds, and each connection needs credentials and maintenance, so integration effort is real even when the connector exists
- AI-generated formulas and summaries still need checking before numbers reach a client or a board deck, and no audit trail for AI-authored changes is documented

We read sourcetable.com/pricing on 24 September 2026: Regular free with 50 credits a month, Pro $29 per user per month with 2,000 credits, Max $100 per user per month with 6,000 credits and unlimited AI messages subject to abuse guardrails, plus one-time credit packs of $10 to $200 that do not expire - $0.02 per credit on Pro and $0.015 on Max - and education discounts for university emails.

Editorial view: the connectors are what make this relevant to marketers rather than to spreadsheet hobbyists - GA4, Google Ads, Search Console and the major ad networks plus Shopify and Stripe in one workbook is the blended reporting job most teams currently do with exports and VLOOKUPs. The score is capped by metering: free and Pro tiers are credit-limited, so iterative analysis needs the packs or Max, and per-user pricing means a five-person analytics function pays $145 a month before top-ups.
